Lynn's Photo Fun

Black Swan on water & in movie

The babies, cygnus, are eating swan food pellets now supplied by neighbors and their necks are lengthening and their sound is a cooooo. They dabble - bob forward and under to feed off the bottom of the water. I like to photograph them often.

Now Black Swan, Natalie Portman, like her character, plays the part perfectly and with feeling. She loses herself in the role, and you can feel her every emotion. Though the original composition of Swan Lake was initially received negatively, currently the work is seen as one of Tchaikovsky's most valuable, and surged him into the realm of the most important ballet composers.
This is a bizarre and intense movie, filmed claustrophobically to accentuate the idea of being trapped inside an unraveling psyche. Visually stunning, suspenseful, intriguing, dark, paranoiac, nightmarish, mesmerizing. This film is everything but boring, with excellent performances, direction, cinematography, editing, music and the rest.

Just an opinion, almost an apology since most I've discussed it with think it more boring.
