Sunbeams

First I must say thank you everyone for yesterdays's congratulations - it was very much appreciated!

Now down to earth again after all the excitement! Today was gloriously sunny with blue blue skies. N and I drove to Wellington for a meeting of the clan - one of our relatives was being made Honorary Freeman of the town. He deserves it as he does a lot in the community without a car or a computer! So after a Sunday lunch of roast beef we all trooped off to the packed church for the Town Council Meeting where the Mayor did his duty and awarded Richard the above document. Halfway through there was a loud bang which we afterwards discovered was part of the electrics that had shut off the organ for the afternoon but it didn't matter as all the music had been played. Cups of tea and more chatting then the drive home.

Tim had had a heavy night with his chums in Wiltshire the night before so with his feeling a little worse for wear I did not have to cook the gammon for his supper on our return!
