Life of Tiree

Morky

We had a lovely family day out at Morecambe. I've always loved it there - such happy memories of visits to Frontierland theme park and walks along the prom.

It was bitterly cold, but we braved Happy Mount Park - a different world in winter. Last time we were there we ate ice cream and listened to a brass band. This time we were alone in feeding the ducks in their half frozen pond, all the carousels and playgrounds were covered up. The only place doing any trade was the steamy little cafe with its christmas decs still up.

We then went for a Chinese - a bizarre choice, but we'd been craving one since all the jokes in the Aladdin panto on Friday. Milo did brilliantly with his chopsticks and they both loved the novelty of the whole thing, from prawn crackers through to fortune cookies.

A breezy walk along the seafront took us past this bookshop. Very dilapidated but full of character. Good old Morky.
