Droplets
I almost left my camera behind at home when we set out this morning, that would be a first! As it turned out, it was probably meant to be as blips were far and few on the ground. We were orienteering in the Compass Sport Cup Round at Over Silton. Tony dug out his map from the last time we were there (16 years ago) and he had written on it, "Don't go back!" We wouldn't have returned hadn't it been for a three line whip on club members to turn out for the team. We parked on a typical forest track and then slogged round a typical North Yorks forest through fallen trees and brambles to finish an exhausting course by climbing a vertical cliff through some crags - all of this in overcast murk, so no potential blips there then. Whilst Tony headed back up the hill to check the results, I blipped everything out of the car window, hence this bit of forest floor.
On the way back we called in on Rob's mum and dad and were promptly provided with lunch which was a lovely surprise. We then passed a very pleasant afternoon putting the world to rights before heading home.
