Moeraki Boulders

These septarian concretions (see Wikipedia entry) are one of those must see tourist sights on the road from Oamaru (where I bought a painting - yes, me ... I bought a painting) to Dunedin. Unfortunately we didn't have the light so wasn't worth trying to take anything more imaginative (look here to see what I mean).

Anyway they were very interesting and forced my memory back to think of all my undergraduate geology.
