What Goes Up, Must Come Down...

During a race to catch the last lifts back to the resort we were staying in, we saw this guy advertising tandem parapenting: essentially skiing off a cliff with a parachute...

...Mike showed an interest, so I said I'd race them to the bottom of the valley, to the lift we required...needless to say, I won, in time to video an impressive landing, both still on their feet.

...I was impressed I got down there before them: as the parapenter bluntly pointed out...with no thermals, and a "heavy" Mike, they "dropped like a stone", so a short, fast flight...

...maybe next holiday, and with more time, I'll have a go...though I was happy that I was not given the opportunity this time ;)
