Overloaded with work. People say think of the money but it doesn't help. Only playing Joni Mitchell comes close to saving me.
A propos of nothing, I was reading about "post-purchase dissonance" today. Apparently after making a "high-involvement purchase" (as far as I can work out, this is marketing speak for expensive), people often feel bad when they notice even very small things about the product they don't like, or when they hear positive things about other brands. They then start checking up on the internet to confirm to themselves they've made the right choice - I do this all the time. The marketing men and women know about this 'dissonance' and produce after-sales material to make you feel good about your choice of brand -- so that you'll stick to it when you buy again.
