Craigentarrie

There is an unintentional Sunday blip theme developing. Today Jonathan and I ran a loop taking in Black Hill via the relatively remote derelict house at Craigentarrie.

The earliest known dwelling at Craigentarrie was in 1618. There have been various forms of farm and dwelling there since then but by the 1970s it seems to have been used only as a weekend retreat.

I can remember in the early 1980s, on more than one occasion, exchanging waves with a nice elderly couple as they drove their Reliant Robin up the rough track to the house. This would certainly not be possible now. It can only be approached on foot or by a suitable off-road vehicle.
