My niece was baptised today and I was asked to take some pics due to my recent interest in photography. On looking up I noticed this and the shadows just seemed pretty cool so I took this. Makes you appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into such things.

Felt strange being back in church as I gave up on religion some time ago. I used to play drums in the music group there throughout my teens (with my Iron Maiden and Metallica t-shirts on, naturally), but the only time I experience anything like religious singing now is the drivel that comes out at football matches - what a pathetic state of affairs that is. This country will never change.

The priest told a wee story that made us all laugh: the last child he baptised was a 7 year old boy who, after the wee ceremony, turned to everyone and said:

"I'm a King now"!
