Winter walk 4 - River walk
This walk started through the St Ives estate as usual past some sculptures which were new to me including a rather 'cheeky' little imp exposing his bottom atop a tree stump! (A future blip maybe.)
The path led down to the River Aire and much of the walk was alongside the river as the title suggests. It was very interesting as it was a part of the river previously unknown to me. Through a little hamlet and past some very large houses with nice back gardens, the river was very still and afforded some good reflections.
I liked the reflection of this ' timbered' house and was particularly surprised at what was on the balcony (*see large).
We eventually arrived at the weir opposite the church which also made a nice picture.
*Have you made out the life size horse and gentleman!
