It's been an odd day and evening. First day back at work after nine days off. My first ever doctor's note in 25 years of working! Then, the small terrorising dog from someone else's house maniacally barking in our garden at us again. It's so strange, like he has a really important message for us;barking insistently for half an hour. He's only about a foot high, and every bark propels him backwards. He's a scary little chap though, with red shining eyes in the night. I find him very scary. At the weekend I debated distributing a poster around the neighbouring houses saying 'Please keep this dog in your garden; we like Korean food'. But I didn't (although we do like Korean food).

This was all followed by the trauma of other half boiling an ox tongue. This is really, really not recommended for harmonious marital relations. Even he was squeamish, and that's saying something. It was all in the name of the Popstramishop that I mentioned a few days ago, but after last night, tongue has been taken off the menu.

Oh, and this is a pineapple.
