A Time for Reflection

A Line To Cross

I've got somewhere to go
I've got someone to see
I want that gate open
Wide open for me

But...

Today is a day for reflection
For letting time slip away

So I'll wait
for the slow train that's coming

I'll sit
while the gates remain closed

And I'll try to be patient
And I'll try to stay calm
As I feel my nails
Dig into my palm

But I've got somewhere to go
I've got someone to see
I need that gate open
Wide open for me
