Calling

This week, there is an Islam Awareness event going on in my campus. And, I think that it will definitely be an eye opening experience for me. When I think about the things that I've learned about Muslims, they were never really positive things. So I guess what I hope from this experience is to learn about their religion and to see where they are coming from.

Just so you know, I'm not saying that I'm going to convert, but more of to be open-minded and accepting so that I can show them what God's love and grace is. And in the Bible, Jesus was accepting and open-minded to the Samaritans.

Also, coming up is a christian conference/retreat called Winterfest. I'm really excited to go since it will be my first time and I heard really good things about this conference. I feel like this month is going to be powerful and just awesome. :)

on a side note: we (campus) got a severe blizzard warning. So today and tomorrow should be interesting. I feel bad for my friend since she hates snow. I guess my prayer request is pray for everyone's safety since there was a warning that there would be white outs and what not. so yes. :)
