BethaBlip 49...

This is my monthly track of my children as they grow to see how they change as time goes by. I take the same photo in the same place each 1st and 15th of each month along with a wee diary of what has happened and how life has progressed for each of them. Bethany on the 1st and Ewan on the 15th. It is quite remarkable and is accentuated by the 1 year ago thumbnail down in the bottom right.

There's not been any significant events as such this month but a few developments.

Bethany is getting right into writing. She can do loads of words and recognizes most of the alphabet. She's taken to writing letters to friends and family. She made a bracelet for her cousin and sent it in an envelope which she addressed herself by copying our writing. I did have to add a wee square with a more formatted address but the letters were there. She's got another envelope with something in it addressed to Annie, a friend at nursery.

We went swimming at the weekend and she rather impressively asked to try swimming without her armbands. I'm not sure she has the strength yet to keep herself up (I held her underneath) but the fact that she's attempting it is very encouraging.

We are having a different issue with confidence. Bethany sometimes doesn't like going upstairs by herself. We tell her to head up and someone will wait at the bottom of the stairs for her. Conversely, on the nights when she gets an extra half hour up past Ewan. She quite happily stays downstairs drawing or something whilst I take Ewan up to bed.

Ooh, forgot to say. Bethany is holding up her Star Bead Necklace Maker. She got it from Santa and has been busily accessorizing everyone in the family and extended family.
