City sunshine

Gorgeous day today, with lovely sunshine.

I haven't been out of the office in the day for ages partly because it's been so cold and partly because I've been a bit snowed under with work. But I needed to go and get a birthday card and some fruit so a trip to Tesco was necessary.

Not the nicest area near where I work, but everything looks better in the sunshine. This is one of the views in the underpass near Five Ways in Birmingham. They've tried hard to make it look nice, it's always very clean with very little rubbish or graffiti, there are benches to sit on and lots of green spaces and flowerbeds. Unfortunately there are also usually a couple of Special Brew drinkers and beggars around the place which makes it not quite such a nice place to be. It's ok at lunch time but I wouldn't wander around here at night.

It is a bit of a maze - the clue is in the name Five Ways, there are 5 different routes out and it took me a while before I was completely sure I was going in the right direction when I first started working here.
