The Transco Man

I've been feeling a little drowsy all weekend ... I put it down to late nights but have an official excuse now ...

Being an old council house the new pad has annoying prepayment meters. A certain high charging utilities company are due to come and replace them but in the meantime the plumber set the boiler going on the emergency credit and switched on the gas that had been turned off for two years. Being a forgetful doofus I can't find the top up card so hence the meter ran out. I popped my head in the cupboard to see if I could find it and got a whiff of gas. Oops.

So a nice man has just been kneeling in my hall telling me my "main valve has gone" and needs replacing. It does not mean I have a dodgy plumber (he is a very nice man), just plumbing in the new system has disturbed it. They will replace my dodgy valve tomorrow. Hope it's not too painful.
