Gun Metal Buddha

I honestly cannot remember if you guys have seen him before, but here he is again.

This is a Buddha I bought in Glasgow. I got him when I made a decision to change my career and become a Teacher.

He is made from the remains of a rifle apparently. Good karma. Desire and rage to liberation.

This is now my tenth year of teaching. I still believe it is a privilege. I still love it far more than I despair of it. On a good day I still hear strains of Captain my Captain in my head. On a bad day I no longer cry.

I believe we are all teachers in our own way. But in my way, I get quite nice holidays....
