All dressed up and no where to go
Had a job interview this morning, via skype, which was rather novel. I love skype for general everyday communications with international people, but have never had an interview over it before. Who knows how the interview went, should find out in a couple of days. It's just for a part time job on campus, with a company that does uni jobs all over Australia, but sounds quite interesting so I'd quite like to get it.
Everyone told me the advantage of skype interviews is that only the upper body needs to be dressed up, but I needed to be in the right frame of mind, which included showering, teeth brushing, and putting on an entire outfit of respectableness. And now? Well the interview was at 9am, now I have the rest of the day to do... other stuff? Like redecorating my room, washing the floors, spring (summer) cleaning cupboards. But putting on shirts and skirts isn't an everyday occurrence for me, as much as I like it occasionally, so I'm reluctant to change. Which means clambering up and down ladders in a shirt, skirt, and ugg boots. Might just have to find somewhere to go out to.
Check out my postcard wall behind me. Any postcard I receive goes straight to that wall. It's a little wall of international happiness.
Also, I'd like to thank my friend daydreamer for alerting me to the coolness of mirror shots. :)
