Win some, lose some

Having frozen myself to the bone yesterday, I decided to visit the other extreme today, and visited the Edinburgh Butterfly World. It gave me a chance to play about with some new equipment, and it was nice to spend the whole day in the greenhouse for once. Normally I'm at the mercy of others, but today I was able to borrow the car and go it alone.
One of the areas contains the nocturnal creatures, so it's not terribly easy to see in there. Even so, I managed to focus on this scorpion, and set the right aperture to get the whole thing in focus. It wasn't until I got home and looked on the computer that I noticed the seam on it from the injection moulding. Doh! Seems a bit of a cheek to put a plastic scorpion in with so many live ones, and I'll be laughing at myself over my failure to spot it for a while to come!
