Wall furniture

This has been on our lounge wall for over a year. Never noticed before the lovely park setting. Reminded me of the Genesis song ?For absent friends? and of a time when local parks were fun. Feel I'm a little large for swings now!!
The first verse leaves a vivid picture of a time gone by.


Sunday at 6 when they padlock the gates,
That wooden pair, still sitting there
Wonder if they are late for church?

And it's cold, so the fasten up their coats,
and cross the grass, they are always last.

Passing by the padlocked swings,
the round about still turning.
Ahead they see a small girl on her way home with a pram.
