Immigrant

Pretty much everyone in Doha is an immigrant, of a city of 1 million people, only about 200,000 are actually Qatari's.

It's the same story with the physical things that are in Doha - the majority are immigrants, just take this flower as an example. It would never have grown here naturally, it needed to be imported from outside and it also needs constant attention from the human immigrants to keep it watered and looked after.

Rumour has it that even the pigeons were imported to make the city feel more "European", I'm not sure how true that is, but I could certainly believe it!

Its the weekend here now so I'm relaxing with a beer, and looking forward to dropping in on the PGA Master's tour which is in town tomorrow and then quad biking in the desert on Saturday!
