Oh the excitement

So, today the exciting thing started!

Many of us who work in the building immediately to the right of this skeleton have been waiting patiently for this - the arrival and installation of the first pre-fabricated brick panels on the slowly and gracefully emerging Bramall Music Building. Yesterday the first panels arrived, and today they were lifted into place just below what will be the dome. Yesterday I counted nine cranes at the back, and an even bigger one is due on site next week to hoist the lead into place.

Rumour has it that this is being built the same way as the rest of the Aston Webb semi-circle, but I'm struggling to imagine builders in 1901 hoisting pre-fab panels into place. Maybe they just mean the steel structure?
