Texans are not used to this! Wind chills of 4 degrees?!?! Come on! If this is what winter feels like, you can have it back! I don't remember the last time it was this cold in Austin. Ever!

Even though there were blackouts all over my school district today, we had our normal schedule. The kids were nuts because they kept hoping we would lose power. I don't think they understood that if the power went out, so would the heat. Luckily, we never lost it at my school. A bunch of elementary schools lost power for the ENTIRE day. Little ones were afraid to go to the bathroom in the dark...so you can imagine what happened instead. Poor things! And no school cancellations. Gross.

I can only imagine how crazy the kids will be tomorrow. All day they talked about how we might not have classes tomorrow. So if we do, I'm sure they will be double nuts. Something to look forward to...
