Cold Bosque Sunset

Today Albuquerque was the coldest city in the USA! Unbelievable. There was a 2 hour delay starting work and we were told to go home an hour early. Many of my colleagues had burst pipes, frozen plumbing or no heating gas. I had lunch with the president of the community college who told us of flooding and fire extinguisher foam covering the floors of a brand new building and destroying library books and computers.

The University will be closed tomorrow to save energy. With another day off we are heading to Durango Colorado (where it's warmer!!!) We will try out out a new place for cross country skiing. Friends will stay with us in a 2 bedroom cabin. We will cook and drink wine and ski all weekend. I expect to take some pictures of a beautiful snowy landscape.
