The Beach.

This is the beach just over the road from where I work.

It's crowded isn't it!

We're in the middle of summer, it's just after 3pm, it's hot and this is what the beaches look like. Admittedly, school holidays are over, but even then the beaches are never crowded. Probably, because the beaches are so long there is room for everyone. The buildings to the right are in Surfer's Paradise.

Have just been watching on TV the devastation that has been caused by Cyclone Yasi. It has to be seen to be believed, it may not have been as bad as they thought, but for those affected, it's as bad as it can be.

For all those affected by the storms here and the severe winter storms in the USA, our heartfelt thoughts are with you. None of us can possibly understand what you are going through.
