Spanish Boots of Spanish Leather
'Will you wake me up mum?'
'Yes dear of course I will'
'What time?'
'You don't have to get up early'
'But I dont want to be late'
My boy was over excited today. Who can blame him, off ski-ing to New Hampshire with 29 of his pals and no parents. Three teachers but 'weve got them sussed.'
I could have asked him to dust, polish and hoover the entire house for a month this morning and he would have agreed. To kill some time before leaving at 10.15 am, I asked him to pose for me. He was keen to please. He doesn't smile naturally and its always hard to get him to stop playing the fool. Very quickly I gave up and called in his -I've got my last prelim today - sister. They were both as high as each other. Neither of them could stay still and neither of them could smile without one making some monkey or billy big chins face. So this shot sums up the mood in my house. My boy was the focus of all activity this morning and rightly so.
In the car he asked if I would like him to bring me anything back. It instantly reminded me of this song, which I think is the best version Spanish Boots. The sentiment is the same even if the situation is slightly different.
Tucker have the very best of times, stay safe and all I wish is that you come home to me, either that or a nice pair of boots would do - whatever you feel like. Catch Some Great Air Dude. Oh and could you try to limit the waffles, pancakes and donuts for breakfast to single figures.
