Shadow Puppet Pigeon

After yesterday's rain, the wind dominated today. I soptted this Wood Pigeon sheltering in a fir tree on campus - still and composed while the branches were flung around.

It was late afternoon, and the light was dim - but I like the silhouette effect, which, combined with the rise and fall of the branch (stick) reminds me of a Javanese shadow puppet.
