Puerto Natales

Spent all day travelling. Plane from Santiago to Punta Arenas and then a 3 hr bus journey to Puerto Natales.

Stress at the airport when we were told LAN had changed the flight times - brought forward one hr - lucky we left plenty of time to check in. Then lots of typing and asking us where and when we booked the flights when we were checking in like they couldn't find our details but we made it.

Nice man on the plane swapped seats with us so we could look at the fabulous snow covered Andes and turquoise lakes on the flight down as he just wanted to sleep and probably got sick of me craning over him! He was reading a book about Jesus so maybe just a really nice guy.

Got all our food shopping done for the trek and found a great hostel - we are the only ones staying and the owner can't do enough for us - sorted us out with bus tickets for 7am tomorrow to the park. Bit apprehensive about the trek and if we have everything we need but can't wait to get there at the same time. Fuelled up on pizza and huge glasses of Austral Schop, then repacked the rucksacks and got scared how heavy mine is.
