sleep.... please...

"Love is staying up all night with a sick child -- or a healthy adult.?



Wow... What a day.. and night last night. Was just enjoying a wee glass of wine, around 23.30, when we heard the wee one choking, and coughing and struggling to breathe. We ran through to my little crying baby, coughing and in pain. After calling NHS 24, were told that a taxi would arrive asap. We drove to the hospital to be told that she had croup. She has never had that before. I know that loads of kids get croup, and that it maybe isnt always that serious, but I have never heard noises like that come out of her little body. Terrifying. The lovely Doctor Luke gave her pink sterioids, which magicked her better.....almost... when we got home, she was really up for watching kids tv and having a wee dance, at 1.30am. Finally got her settled around 3, and bed for work this morning. Hubby was staying at home with the wee scone all day. Now, she is asleep after a fun day, while me and her dad are walking around half asleep. Why does this never happen at 1 in the afternoon? It would be so much easier. :)

Work was ridiculously busy, which was great as I needed it to keep me going. Good day considering.

Now, my photo... A glass of prosecco. Just the one. One cold and bubbly glass. Here is to some sleep tonight.
