Old Skool II

Had to transfer some program from 1/4" tape today. I even had to cut some leader onto one of the tape. A little old time razor blade editing. Yeah, I still got it.

I tried this transfer yesterday but the tapes are old and didn't play well. The heads got gunked up in a hurry and the playback began to wow and slow. So, we baked 'em. We put the tapes in a food dehydrator for about 5 hours at 135 degrees F. This removes the moisture from the tapes and helps the oxide bond to the backing. Playback today was smoove.
