The river in spate

It's lovely to be at home this Saturday morning. A pretty chilled out day so far, including a little wander along the Water of Leith near where I assume Blipcentral is and a trip to the supermarket which was much needed. Pretty heavy water running.

This afternoon we will chill in front of the TV and watch the rugby from Rome and then we are meeting friends in Dunfermline to see Courtney Pine at the Carnegie Hall. Obviously when you google Carnegie Hall to find out its location you have to be careful not to get the 'other' Carnegie Hall in the city I was visiting last weekend. Now I do hope that this wasn't some sort of mistake by Courtney's agent and he isn't going to be massively disappointed when he gets there.... However, that suspicion on my part seems to be a massively disrespectful attitude towards the Fife Jazz Festival, whose gig this is. Reports tomorrow.

In other news, we think the people upstairs have moved out. It's blissful not having to listen to people cook dinner at 11.30pm. Or 1.30am. Whilst holding a 'conversation' which consists of screaming at each other at full volume. Life is good.

UPDATE: bad news. There were footsteps upstairs during the night. Not noisy ones, but footsteps none the less. I'd been told I'd been too optimistic and spoken too soon. This appears to be correct. Damn.
