Wild Goose Chase

I took a few close up shots (though they weren't as good as this one)...before a lady and her son walked past with a football in a bag. Bad move...anything in a bag warrants far too much interest from the wildlife sheltering from the high winds, sleeping on the grass at the quay...

...it's like an alarm clock going off: they all get up and give chase!

...with the lady and her son chased off they soon gave up...except this one...who took to following me :( though thankfully they never leave the quayside, or enter the priory grounds, so I took this photo before he got too close, and then I managed to escape!

I thought I spotted a friend from earlier in the year there...though he would have had to swim or fly a couple of miles to get to the quay, so might not have been.

...though this chap could quite possibly have been someone else's friend...
