Crazy Texas weather.....it is 66 degrees now!!!

Our tiny Texas snowman is slowly melting. It was cute before, but I find this melted version so endearing for some reason. It survived all day yesterday and overnight last night because it was built in the shadow of the house. The sun barely got to it. It was 56 degrees when this picture was taken and it has climbed to 66 degrees since. It is slowly, sadly collapsing.

It is amazing that we went from snow to 60 degree afternoons so quickly. That is part of the adventure of living in Austin, TX! Wild weather swings are the norm. It will be back to 30 degrees tonight and warm again in the afternoons for the next few days until we get another cold snap until Wednesday. In Austin, you have to keep your whole wardrobe out in the winter. You never know what you will need. It was 80 degrees in December this year!!! We get our punishment in summer though. It is hot all the time....except when it is hot and raining, which isn't very often. Summer is our harsh season. Here's hoping that those of you that are snowed in thaw out soon!!! Love from Austin!
