Treated myself to an 'artist's date' as Julia Cameron calls them and spent the day in London. After a rare treat - a full fry-up breakfast in a greasy spoon caff - I wandered around heading in the general direction of the Cartoon Museum. Avoiding Oxford Street I spotted the Beeb's iconic building which is still in the process of its umpteen-squillion pound modern extension.

I've loved Eric Gill since I first hand set letterpress type while still a schoolboy. Even his outrageous sexual behaviour and OTT religious views haven't dimmed my enthusiasm for his amazing artistic and design talent.
