Following on from yesterday's blip here is another corner of this wonderful garden.
The Tale of Peter Rabbit was written by Beatrix Potter and first published in 1901. The inspiration for Mr Mcgregor and the garden was Camfield Place, near Hatfield, Hertfordshire, where Beatrix spent her childhood summers.
Later the prolific romatic novelist, Barbara Cartland lived at Camfield Place.
This part of England has so many similar country properties, in any one of the walled gardens one can just imagine an inquisitive rabbit squeezing under the gate and coming across a scene like this.
