What a pavlova.
Whenever there is a pavlova is near my dad comes out with the same bad joke:
"Is that a cake or a meringue? ... No your right its a cake"
I suppose you have to be Scottish to get it and at that it took me well into my teenage years to work it out.
Has been a busy visiting day today. Been round to my mums, my grans, my mans gran, his dad's and his mum.
It's funny how much you miss these people when you no longer live at home. I'm not even that far away! Suppose it's good to be that way with family. Especially considering the amount I'm marrying into! :P
My mans dad and his wife have always kept me at arms length, they keep him that way too. I doubt this will change when we are married.
His mum on the other hand (a little worse for wear I'll admit) gave me a big hug tonight and told me how happy she was and that she loved me. His Gran also hugged me and told me she was glad that we're getting married.
It does make me really happy that they have welcomed me in. They are such a mad bunch and I really do love them all.
There is that old saying "A daughters your daughter all your life, your son is your son till he finds a wife". I don't think it could be more wrong. I think my family is just going to swell in numbers!!!
