Neds

A photo of my cinema ticket this evening. NEDS is set the year before I was born, 1972. I may not remember much about that era but the film did provoke a long chat this evening on school life in the eighties. We remembered, casuals, young teams, pods, kickers and scarfs. We all had a different story to tell about life in a west of Scotland educational establishment and in west of Scotland communities.
The lead character John McGill is played very convincingly by Connor McCarron, hopefully more roles will follow for the lad. Also the young actress who plays his sister Elizabeth - Mhairi Anderson. Even if you don't like the film it will have you reminiscing about school days gone by.
