One of only 3 Mondays left at Boatshop24
Today I started to tell my clients that I would be leaving Boatshop24, it was horrid, I have some fabulous clients who over 5 years have become, well if not friends then a close approximation of and I am going to miss some of them. As well as leaving some amazing people that I have worked with.
In a bid to lift spirits I took a run down to the Market Cross in the centre of Chichester and took what I thought were a good few shots (however on my return home the majority were rather blurred) - thats the problem with a half hour lunch, you have to do everything in such a rush!
Anyway, I have found this interesting little snippet of history about it on the interwebbynetthing - 'In 1501 Bishop Storey erected Chichester market cross. If you wanted to sell goods at the market you had to pay a toll. There were some poor peasants who only had a few eggs or a few vegetables to sell. The bishop said anyone could sell things at the market and not pay a toll provided they could stand under the cross.'
