Footprints

Our kids are going to remember that every winter was like this one, inches and inches of the stuff, endless sledging, days and days off school.

That's my memory anyway. I realise now that was probably based on one bad winter.

I loved being the first to walk across a field of new fallen snow on the farm. Making the tracks.

It soon became tough going.

There are a lot of people who've made some pretty great tracks in life. I don't think all of us need to be ground breaking all the time.

There's a lot to be said for being a follower too.
