Impermanence

Night and Day

worked last night
not too good
stuff happened.
police used pepper spray.
leather restraints initiated.
lots of paperwork.
no one seriously injured.

left work,
stopped at the Mountain Reservation
walked in the snowy woods
and near the lake
on a foot path.
stepped in snow,
wet snow
just over my knee
quite by accident.
then
I fell
I laughed
I got up
It's a beautiful day
