Manchester - Day 1

A work trip to Manchester, driving up via a lovely cosy pub in Staffordshire for lunch. Checked into the Premier Travel Inn which was absolutely fine - a bed for the night and very central.

Wandered around the shops and made it to the funky Urbis centre where there was a Factory Records / Hacienda exhibition on. Great stuff - full of posters and memorabilia from that era in Manchester - I sort of grew up with it as a New Order fan, and remember fondly my Factory t-shirt.

Dinner and a drink or three at The Living Room. Excellent night.
