Sunflower On the Bench

It was wet wild and windy yesterday, so I rescued one of my big sunflowers and brought him inside for a holiday.
I am quite sure he is a he.
Not sure why exactly.
Might be that the unanticipated change of scene caused him to instantly curl up his leaves and shed them within the hour in a big sulk, as He was not consulted as to his prior wishes.
The rest of him is valiantly battled on, but He is now gettting the most attention and admiration out of the tribe, and he has risen and stood tall in response.

"Look at me I am fabulous!"

Yes, definitely a male.
