plane to no sea

The original plan after work was to have a quick wander down to Silverknowes where that was taken a year and a bit ago and try and get a long enough exposure to get more than one aeroplane trail in the same shot. Every time I've been that way in the summer there's been an overflight at least every couple of minutes. In the end I turned east at the big gas-tube instead of west and got a few crap long-exposures of the seafront lights instead. From the scarcity of aircraft it was probably the best decision; perhaps it's much busier at the equivalent time in the summer due to holidays. Maybe I should inspect the arrivals schedule of the airport and head out there at the most propitious time rather than taking an eleven-mile detour on the way home on the offchance that a suitable number of aeroplanes will be landing at the appropriate time. HMMM.
