Sunset over a field of corn

It's that time of year again that I can see the sun set while biking home.
On my way I saw this field of corn (maïs) and was wondering why it wasn't taken off the fields before winter. Well sometimes it's great for hiding some plants that must not be seen ;) , but mais in the winter is still a bit strange.
Well lucky for me it gave a nice silhouette against the colourful sky.
