International Banchory Blue

The blue of this cardboard recycling bin caught my eye early this morning as I stopped by the new Tesco store in Banchory on my way to work to do a spot of recycling.

For those seriously addicted to the colour blue, I could do nothing better than to recommend a leisurely ramble around the Cyanophilia Web site, or possibly a visit to the Tate Gallery's Web page on one of the works in their collection, Yves Klein's classic IKB79.

For the purists, there's even a whole site set up entirely as a tribute to the pigment Klein himself created, known to the world as International Klein Blue.
