To the woods!

Nutley windmill sits on the edge of the Ashdown forest in Sussex. Today I started down in Lewes and then drove up to East Grinstead through the forest in glorious sunshine - a wonderful change after the horrible weather and light we've had recently. I stopped and took a few shots but it's hard to do scenery like this justice; the range of textures, the gentle folds of the land and the muted palette of browns and sepias and greens. One of those "really great to be alive and out and about" days.
