The Red Holloway Quartet, with Plas Johnson.

Red hurt his hand before the concert, so he couldn't play his saxophone. He got his friend, Plas Johnson to play with the quartet and it worked out fine. They played 90 minutes of cool jazzy blues, or bluesy jazz. Plas is the guy who did the original "Pink Panther" solo, one of the first jazz songs I can remember hearing on the radio. We played it in junior high school stage band and it's always been one of my favorites. Plas played it beautifully last night.
