Irises out in February

Here in my village in the Languedoc, France irises are coming out. A few have been blooming for the last week. Rather early, guess it must be a very sheltered and sunny spot.
I'm looking forward to when they are in full swing, about May, as swathes of wild ones cover the wayside.
