Don't know why I thought of the old Dave Clark Five hit, but it does seem pretty apt with some many birds pairing up at the moment.

I spotted these Gadwall at Rodley NR today and couldn't resist blipping them. For a seemingly boring duck, the male's patterning is brilliant.
