Felt a bit like D-Fens in Falling Down at various points throughout today. And like Michael Douglas's anti-hero, I just wanted to get home for family birthday celebrations. Despite the car repair people then accidentally locking me out of my car tonight - after failing to fix the problem despite the third service in as many weeks - I managed to get home only an hour late and we celebrated my mother's birthday with champagne, cake and my father's great cooking.
